Dennis Ferrer Takes Over Koko: A Night to Remember!
Dennis Ferrer
As the classic track goes, "Jack boldly declared, let there be house."
When Dennis Ferrer graced us at London's renowned Koko venue, I knew I had to be there to get myself pumped for the annual Ibiza summer trip.
Returning to Koko after almost a decade was a nostalgic experience, though with noticeable changes. The venue has evolved, as has the cost of living. No longer can you check a small jacket for a pound. I joked with the attendant, asking if I could leave my shoes too, given the vault treatment for my jacket. Despite the banter, the attendants remained helpful, even amidst the rowdy crowds.
But let's get back to the gig! While I came specifically to watch Dennis, I was pleasantly surprised by the lineup before him. Miguelle & Tons started us off, followed by Kitty Amor, whose tracks transported me to sunny shores. Then, &friends lifted the energy track after track, before Dennis took the stage and the crowd erupted. Despite six hours on my feet, Dennis's performance made it all worth it, taking us on a journey until 6 am.
Reflecting on the night, I realized how much I've missed being back on the decks. However, my priorities lie with Mi Casa and the Clubsandbars app, which I hope to improve in the future for you all. But that's a story for another time.
Overall, it was a night well worth it, and I'm looking forward to the next gig.
